DABIRI-EREWA CONGRATULATES NEW PRESIDENT OF CANADIAN MEDICAL ASSOCIATION BOLU OGUNYEMI

Hon. Abike Dabiri-Erewa, Chairman/CEO, Nigerians in Diaspora Commission (NiDCOM) has congratulated Dr. Bolu Ogunyemi on his election as the President of the Canadian Medical Association.

In her congratulatory message issued by the Director of Media, Public Relations and Protocols, Abdur-Rahman Balogun, Dabiri -Erewa described the victory as record breaking milestone for being the first black person to assume such position in 158 years.

The NiDCOM boss emphasised that dedication, resilience and determination to succeed have never failed those who cling to it rather has yielded enormous victory.

She urged Ogunyemi to keep up the good work and bring more glory to the nation while imploring other Diasporas to be the best in whatever they are doing.

Dr. Bolu Ogunyemi, a Nigerian-born practising Dermatologist based in St. John’s Newfoundland got his victory after series of election that lasted for days.

By this victory, he will be representing the CMA in the Media, Provincial and Territorial Medical Associations, Government and other related organizations in Canada.

Ogunyemi will serve as President-elect pending his approval by CMA General Council in May 2025.
